K-9 Nose Work
K-9 Nose Work is a sport where dogs learn how to apply their natural abilities to sniff to find specific scents, such as birch, anise, and clove. Dogs learn to search rooms, open areas, and even among vehicles. Unlike many dog sports, K-9 Nose Work only allows one dog into the search area at a time, making it an ideal sport for shy dogs or even dog aggressive dogs. Dogs do need to be crate trained so they can be contained while they await their turn. K-9 Nose Work is an excellent way for handlers to learn about their dogs' body language and the fascinating way their nose allows them to discover their world.
